A Place to Belong

Delphi Rise Youth Safe Spaces Program

Safe Spaces is a youth-driven program creating welcoming environments where young people feel supported, connected, and empowered.

In partnership with the Alex Eligh Community Center, Safe Spaces serves youth and young adults ages 12–24. Delphi Rise is one of four organizations to launch this pilot program.

The space reflects youth culture, creativity, and leadership, with young people helping guide activities and priorities.

About Safe Spaces

Every young person deserves a place where they feel seen, valued, and connected.

Delphi Rise has launched Safe Spaces, a new pilot program funded by the New York State Office of Mental Health. We are honored to be one of only four organizations across the state selected to lead this important work.

Young people help shape this program from the ground up, guided by a simple belief that safety, support, and connection create the conditions for youth to thrive.

Why Safe Spaces Matter

For many young people, isolation and disconnection impact their wellbeing.

Safe Spaces creates a place where youth feel they belong, build confidence, and form meaningful connections that support their growth and future.

Who Can Participate & How to Get Involved

Our program is open to young people who can benefit from additional support, enrichment, and positive engagement opportunities. Youth may self-refer, and referrals are also welcomed from parents, family members, school personnel, and other trusted adults. We strive to make the process simple and accessible, ensuring that every young person who could benefit from our services has a clear pathway to participate.
